A letter from Dr. Nic Boston University

Dear Alisa:

I am so thrilled to hear from you and to receive the most beautiful New Years card and letter.  I am so proud of the awards you have received.  I knew that when you fell in love with children's books that you were making a very permanent connection between reading and music.  How wonderful that you have followed through with this in your work.  You deserve all of the superior awards you have received -- I am sure that there are more of these in your future!  Congratulations!

I was very moved to see my name mentioned in your article!  Thank you so much.  I am trying to find someone to translate it for me.  I am very anxious to read it since I see that it is directly about your teaching ideas.

The greatest gift that a student can give to a teacher is to use one's talents for the betterment of the world.  You are doing just this through your excellent and creative teaching.  I am honored deeply by this, Alisa.

Please do keep in touch.  I know that you will have a great influence on the children of your country!

Love,

dr nic
